Base Campers agenda is below:

Remember, All food for the Base Campers will be provided. Please, each person Scout and adults that will be in Base Camp the entire weekend bring $10.00 each for the food.

It is my understanding that the Intermediate Hikers will be eating with the Troop on Saturday night and Sunday breakfast. Please bring $5.00 for this food.

Attached is the schedule:

Friday May 29^th meet at 5:00 at Haverty’s at Landfall Shopping Center

Leave at 5:30

Eat supper on the way at your convenience. It usually takes 3 ½ hours for the trip. It will most likely be dark when you arrive. Be careful

Remember that Cell reception is limited in this area.

Base Campers setup the camp site and settle in for the night.

Saturday am up at 7:30 Troop will provide all meals for the Base Camper’s (Scouts and adults) Please no other food! No soft drinks!

Saturday morning: work on advancement requirements for Tenderfoot etc…

12:00 Saturday Lunch (provided)

Saturday afternoon:

o 5 mile hike lead by older scouts and adults. Please bring a day pack for water and rain jacket.

o Bring boots for hiking

o No blue jeans…if they get wet they will not dry

o Be sure to bring 1-2 water bottles. You do not have to go buy bottles from a camping store. Regular bottles of water from the grocery store will work find.

Saturday evening dinner. Intermediate hikers will be joining us for dinner.

Saturday night…campfire and probably some board of reviews for advancement.

Sunday AM up at 7:30 for a no cook breakfast.

Cleanup camp, load gear and travel home.

We usually stop at Lumberton for a nice meal in the Golden Coral. That is up to all of you.
