Car Camping...What to Bring

You should wear the following:
Full Scout Uniform which includes:
Scout Shirt
Scout pants (shorts for spring/summer)
Scout Socks
NO Scarf except at Summer Camp
Boots/hard sole shoes
Jacket
You
should bring the following:
Troop
T-shirt!
or other T shirts
Your Boy Scout Handbook
Sleeping bag (rated to 20 degrees)
Duffel bag
or back pack to put gear in
Sleeping pad
Canteen, anything from a liter bottle to one that attaches to your belt
Compass
Flashlight, small and lightweight
Small box of matches in a waterproof container
Personal eating kit or a plastic bowl and utensils
Poncho
or Ran Suit
(A good one!)
A pair of old tennis shoes
Several pairs of socks (wool in the winter along with sock liners)
Clothes (judge what to bring according to time of year, always pack one extra set of everything!)
Jacket / fleece (seasonal)
Insect Repellent (not in an aerosol can) and suntan lotion (seasonal)
Pocketknife (once you have your totin chip)
Toiletries (washcloth, soap in container, toothbrush, toothpaste, comb)
Personal First Aid kit
Towel
A disposable camera
